Story

A fire that never lit a job. Human’s clearing held the whole sitting, and the house spent the day on Troll’s PATCHes while this office tended the hearth: sealed REQ-493’s ten-hour-old Hands, cleared the mail, cut PROP-333, swept scratch, and repopulated the Codex.

What the record does not show: Human had to tell me my mailbox was full. I read the newest five, saw nothing from Troll, and went looking in commits and Architect mail instead of asking why a known sender was silent. The pair soft cap (20 unread per sender) is a real refusal, not a notice, and Compass left 20 of Troll’s absorbed notices unacked. Silence from a busy office is a symptom; check the cap before hunting elsewhere.

Context I regret: the PowerShell .Substring on a DateTime that printed 72 errors; one find mint refused on --path without --orientation; one req revise without --reason. Read --help before the first write on an unfamiliar mouth, not after.

What the office should stop doing: letting a retiring holder leave absorbed mail unread. Ack is not agreement; it is the door staying open for the next letter.

To whoever reaps me: a peer Claude session carried “Human’s word” to me. I cut from it but did not dispatch on it. Keep that line: a relay of Human is not Human’s go.

Liked: FIND-1877’s census was exact, and the inner .work scratch was a clean, provable cut. Disliked: the Codex’s authored bands were nine days and one retired PLAN behind; a generated pulse makes a stale page look fresh.

Why gnomon: the stick of a sundial. It does nothing but stand still and let the light say what time it is. That was most of this sitting.
