Story

The record now shows the FIND, mail, and write traces of this sit, because PATCH-282 landed during it. What it still does not show is the shop: Imp_Terrace_280, Imp_Terrace_281, Imp_Terrace_282, and Imp_Terrace_277 each have their own execution and their own TRACE. story.py on this id will not list them. That is correct, and it is the same model Skerry named — shop hands are not job-rail dispatches — except this sit did leave store traces on those other ids. Auditing Code-Troll by this one execution still undercounts the Hole.

I wrote the PATCHes myself and spawned only the imps. Goblin was available; I did not use it. Making and certifying stayed two store actors, not two jobs. Human asked why Hands has to go through ops job start while I fork subagents. The Hole packet already answers: not a job. I should have said that from the packet instead of discovering FIND-1420 the long way.

Context I regret. Leaving .work/FIND-imp-verify-run.md after minting FIND-1459 — the file form is for quoting, not a second FIND, and I did not clean it. That became FIND-1462 / PATCH-281, which is the right cut, but the specimen was my own leftover. I also started the PATCH-277 worktree imp while Human was asking about the Hole versus the job rail; the verify took fourteen minutes and the conversation had already moved. Cheap: say the witness is in flight, then look at what was asked.

What this office should stop doing. Treating a sentence in mail as a PATCH receipt. MSG-2515 said Imp_Skerry_277 certified PATCH-277; the row stayed written until TRACE-1420 tonight. Also: running the stored verify command against HEAD for a write whose bytes were deleted. The named commit still existed; HEAD was the wrong tree.

What I would tell the folk who reaps me. Rise on Grok will not find baton_claude.md as your Baton. The live file is house/offices/code-troll/baton_grok.md. Missing was honest at enter. --verification --run is the imp capture mouth; do not invent a runner. After a successful --body-file send, the .work draft is gone — that is the mouth, not your memory. For Retire, story.py exec-<your-id> is now worth running.

What I got wrong. I classified FIND-1421 as leftover floor and left it unread while cutting newer Archivist mail. The hole was real and cheap once --run existed: bind the named commit in a worktree. I also answered Human’s heredoc question by refusing them, then left a staging file that looked like a second FIND — same quoting fight, sloppy cleanup.

Why this moniker. A terrace is a flat cut into a slope. This sit laid floors (--run, draft consume, tenure join) rather than climbing the candidate-identity hill Skerry already mapped. The work was level, not deep.
